Goulds Grove, Ewelme, South Oxon
Site address: Gould’s Grove, Old London Road, Ewelme, Oxon
The site presently comprises of a collection of largely poor-quality barns and extensive hard standing. This brownfield site is located in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite obtaining a recommendation to approve the proposal from the South Oxon District Council planning department, we had to go to appeal, with permission granted at the end of February 2022. The scheme comprises of 5 bespoke brick and flint houses of various sizes and the conversion of a curtilage listed barn to provide small boutique office units.
The houses will have a high level of specification with hand laid brick and flint elevations, clay and slate roof tiles, concrete 1st floors (so no creaky floorboards) and high-quality bespoke kitchens and bathrooms. The scheme will provide a significant greening up of the site with some of the plots benefitting from beautiful views across the Chilterns AONB.
Construction due to start Autumn/Winter 2022.
